About Us

I was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1957, grew up in Grand Ledge, Michigan and was third generation in my family to work for General Motors (GM). It has been a lifelong dream of mine to live in the mountains. When I retired from GM  I found a new home in Anaconda, Montana where "Main Street Meets the Mountains". Anaconda is a sleepy little town in southwestern Montana steeped in the history of copper mining. Chuck and I made our move in 2007. Another goal of mine has been to learn how to renovate, which I did, and I have completely renovated/remodeled/redesigend my house I and did most of the carpentry work myself.

I began making cookies for my dalmatian, Chuck after he had surgery to remove bladder stones and I began paying very close attention to what went into and what came out of him. Cookies For Canines are made with wholesome, human grade ingredients such as whole wheat flour and olive oil. They contain no nutmeg which is toxic to dogs. Pumpkin Bites contain cinnamon which aides in digestion and helps to balance blood sugar and Peanut Butter Slobbers are just plain good! Gingersnorts--available at Christmas time only--contain ginger which helps to settle the stomach and cloves which is used as a dewormer and worm preventative. Olive oil is very well tolerated by the stomach, its protective function has beneficial effects on ulcers and gastritis and it lower the incidence of gallstone formation.

Chuck taste-tests every batch and he approves wholeheartedly.

A portion of every sale is donated to Pintler Pets, our local animal shelter.
